25th JUNE..the anniversary of Second Freedom movemnt in Free India..to free India against Emergency ..that inspired crores .. to come out and take head-on the tyranny .. unleashed by the Dictator.. subverting the Democracy.

Millions martyred and jailed, students, activists, under draconian rule. The hope ‘JP’- ‘SAMPOORNA KRANTI” . Was A UNIQUE EXPERIMENT..SADLY DIED -premature. The Nation is in search of an icon ..what made the politicains who swore by JP’s ideals to shirk and drop the ideals when embraced Power..

It is difficult to revive ..since we cruelly buried it. Many who went to Jail (as satyagrahee) had hopes of seeing a reformed Indian politics ..Sampoorna Kranti visualized .. but their hopes shattered..with no hope of revival. Sad.

Emergency was a dark period in our history and since today’s generation does not know about it, it would be good of people to come and share their experiances of those evil days. How the ordinary political activists were crushed, beaten, imprisoned and tortured. How emergency robbed Lok nayak Jay Prakash Narayan of his kidneys and how atrocities continued as the judiciary truly closed its eyes.

Let today’s generation know how we became slaves once gain…27 years after gaining freedom from 200 years of British slavery.

I have heard about emergency from my parents and people of that age. The situation in country now is worse than in 1975. everything is the same (Law system, tax system etc….). the worst is internal security (naxals and terrorists) and price rise. The irony is that world’s probably best economist is our prime minister !

We did not get independence that way Mahatma Gandhi Ji wanted. All due to Congress. God bless all of us.

I see even today atleast media lives in shade of emergency..thay cannot dare to fault Gandhi/ Nehru family for any ills in this country.. Bhopal issue was a classic example whre the truth regarding Rajiv Gandhi’s involvement was for everyone to see based on solid evidences but media was tryng to give unlimited spin except, I think, CNN-IBN… even today, congress people consider that faulting Gandhi family for anything is unpatriotic.. and even today, constitutional institutions have been subservient. Even the Chief election commisioner is a puppet. Media has become paid media to a large extent.. prestige of the PM’s post is completely decimated and a new extra-constitutional authority enjoys unlimited power without any accountability.

This is the modern form of emergency !
